About the Role:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a prestigious non-profit organization on a contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of mostly remote work, with the occasional need to be onsite in Washington D.C. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with accounts receivable collections.
- Review invoices and payment requests to ensure proper approvals and account coding.
- Process outgoing accounts payable payments and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting, including full cycle accounting and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Intacct and/or Bill.com is preferred.
