Job Title: Assistant Controller 

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000

THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE 

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the Accounting Department's operations, including reporting, intercompany consolidation, payables, and receivables. 
• Ensure that internal policies and procedures are followed in accordance with state and federal regulations, accounting standards, tax laws, and the Controller and CFO's definitions of them.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies. 
• Create various of financial reports on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis. 
• Help with payroll, accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management. 
• Handle leases and fixed assets in accordance with ASC 842 
• Accurately and promptly delivers financial reports after analyzing financial data. 
• Offer financial information to aid in making decisions. 
• Help to keep proper internal controls over financial reporting in place.
• Prepare for annual audit by providing the required information and answers and organize with auditors 
• Reconcile Balance sheet and resolve discrepancies 
• Oversee the year-end and month-end closing procedures 
• Engage in the recruitment, interviewing, and talent selection process for junior employees 
• Oversee everyday operations and plans junior accounting staff members' workloads 
• Encourage a cheerful and cooperative work atmosphere 
• Supervise and trains accounting staff, offering insightful performance evaluations

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• 5+ years of Accounting experience 
• Public Accounting Experience required 
• CPA Preferred 
• CMiC software experience preferred
