What You Will Achieve

As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you'll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will assist in the development of conjugation processes for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) by executing experiments under the direction of others or independently handle those that are routine in nature with minimal variation in design and execution. You will compile data in electronic laboratory notebooks and create informative tables and graphs. You will occasionally present at group or department meetings. Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, its principles and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge. It is your hard work and focus that will make Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.

How You Will Achieve It

• Perform experiments and troubleshoot studies with supervision
• Execute conjugations ranging from mg-scale to g-scale
• Interpret data and recognize errors or unusual results when they occur
• Record accurate, clear, and complete experimental data and methods
• Assist senior personnel in developing solutions to problems
• Summarize experimental results and present to lab group
• Contribute to lab upkeep and equipment maintenance
• Contribute to technical reports; may author reports with guidance

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related field and 0 - 2 years of experience
• Laboratory experience in a relevant field of science (may be through college course work)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate and work in team environment
• Critical thinker with problem-solving experience
• Good Computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software
• Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds, following safety protocols

Nice-to-Have

• Previous experience with protein purification and/or bioconjugation
• Previous experience working with biologics
• Experience with GMP manufacturing and/or technology transfer

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $54700,00 to $91100,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7,5% of the base salary.
