Job Description

Dockside Pub is looking for an experienced Chef. We are looking for someone that can maintain and grow the business - order and inventory food - develop an amazing cooking team.

Job Duties:

• Check freshness of food and ingredients
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
• Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
• Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
• Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
• Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
• set up and execute catered parties and buffets etc

Requirements

* 5+ years experience
* Food cost, Inventory, and labor control
* Bilingual is a plus
* TEAMWORK and a GREAT attitude are required!
* Must have flexible availability – Weekends & Holidays required
* Accurately and efficiently teach how to cook meats, fish, vegetables and other hot food products
* Ability to keep work area clean, organized and to code
* Previous high volume experience preferred
