Job Title: Project Manager

Specialty Focus: Public Sector

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Base Salary: $120,000-$135,000/year

Job Overview:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning and execution of one or more assigned projects. They will lead the Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and administrative team to ensure the project is completed on time, delivering high quality while optimizing company profits and fostering repeat business with the client.

Responsibilities:

• Review estimates with the Project Estimator for material, labor, and equipment.
• Delegate project-specific scopes of work to subcontractors.
• Ensure prompt receipt of executed subcontracts, insurance certificates, and bonds.
• Prepare the baseline schedule with the superintendent and update it monthly.
• Foster efficient work for trades and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to review project specifics.
• Hold weekly job meetings to track progress, safety, and resolve issues.
• Prepare monthly billings and meet with the Architect/Owner for approval.
• Submit and track change orders, reviewing subcontractor changes for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly cost forecasts and status reports for review.
• Support Superintendents with material and manpower needs.
• Manage subcontractor issues and ensure project quality at turnover.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers for career growth.
• Maintain industry knowledge through education and networking.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of project management experience. Specifically Public Sector projects: Infrastructure Projects, Public Buildings, Education Facilities, Healthcare Facilities, Public Housing, Parks and Recreation, Water and Waste Management, Public Utilities, Military and Defense Projects.
• Proven success managing similar projects in size and complexity.
• Strong internal and external communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization under pressure.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Sage Project Management, Procore, and MS Project.
• Team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to quality.
