Qualifications
- High school degree or GED.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and other security concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio.
- Requires an ability to work well under pressure, frequently without supervision.
- Working knowledge of servers and network systems preferred.
- Cybersecurity certification preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills - Knowledge of information security regulations including FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, and HIPAA.
- Knowledge of relevant legal/regulatory requirements and common information security management frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of information security and the relationships among threat, vulnerability and information value in the context of risk management.
- Possess a strong understanding of appropriate leading-edge technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of IT Operations and the role and impact of information security.
Terms Of Employment 250 days
Salary/Paygrade $57,858 - TC4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2023-2024
Essential Functions - Assist with cybersecurity incident response, including but not limited to malicious emails, malware, credential breaches, and more.
- Assist with vendor management, including Data Privacy Agreements and SOC Reports.
- Assist with vetting the security of digital resource requests.
- Assist in maintaining/updating the approved digital resources database.
- Assist with implementing security awareness training and phishing campaigns.
- Create and present cybersecurity content to employees, students, and parents.
- Monitor computer networks for security issues.
- Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
- Work with security team to perform assessments and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity standards, regulations, and trends.
- Additional duties as needed.
