Title : Data Center Technician
Location : Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
Duration : 6+ Month Contract (Potential to convert to FTE)
Pay Rate : $28/hr. on W2 Job Description:
Resource's typical working day:
They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data center:
The Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cabling.
They will also need to know how to terminate copper.
They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work.
Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred.
Work on ladders 7-8 feet off the floor.
Install servers that can weigh up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams).
They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma.
2 years working experience in a data center. (If they have been leading a team for several years they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground).
Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams).
Customer service experience. Highly Preferred Skills:
Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred.
