What You'll Do
Incident Resolution: Address and resolve user-reported issues efficiently, escalating complex matters to team leads or project leaders as needed.
System Monitoring: Continuously oversee the Epic Tapestry environment, including batch jobs, to ensure optimal performance and system stability.
Change Management: Manage build migration paths, oversee the change control process, and handle ticket management effectively.
Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and create clear and understandable training materials for Epic Tapestry.
Project Participation: Take part in and occasionally lead projects, translating customer needs into actionable tasks, managing relationships, and reporting to internal leadership.
Meetings & Liaison: Facilitate and lead meetings with end-users and internal staff, acting as a bridge between departments and Information Systems, while promoting industry best practices.
User Satisfaction: Ensure end-user satisfaction by proactively communicating, tracking issues, and offering solution-oriented escalation.
Operational Specifications: Investigate and document future-state operational specifications for Epic Tapestry functionality.
Process Improvement: Apply specialized knowledge to enhance processes, support strategies, and assist junior team members. Oversee the design, validation, development, and implementation of the Epic system.
Collaboration: Work with operations to identify reporting needs and provide support, mentoring peers on build, workflow processes, and implementation.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understand health plan regulatory requirements for AP Claims, Authorizations, Capitation, Accounts Payable, and Enrollment using Tapestry modules.
Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with information systems technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and email.
Qualifications
Required:
6+ years of experience in a related field.
Active Epic certification in at least one Tapestry module.
Experience with Tivoli workload scheduler (TWS) and Unix commands.
Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex systems.
Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations.
Basic knowledge of messaging formats in healthcare integration (HL7, EDI, CSV, XML) and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL).
Experience in the US health care domain and managed care setup.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel up to 10%, as required.
Preferred:
Experience with Epic Tapestry build processes.
Familiarity with AP cycle processes and general batch setups.
Experience with production troubleshooting and Payer/Provider applications.
Knowledge of ANSI 278, 834/835/837 transactions.
Experience with ITIL service methodology or Service NOW.
Understanding of business concepts, processes, and data.
Additional Information:
Competitive salary range: $102,750 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Potential participation in a discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
Role is remote with occasional travel.
