RIDE Grant funded 1 year only - 2 positions

WORK YEAR : 191 days (RIDE Initiated - Grant Funded Position; 1 year only SY 24-25)

COMPENSATION: Step salary, daily rate for additional days

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding curricula, assessments, and data analysis
• Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources
• Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels
• Deep understanding of writing pedagogy, including research-based writing strategies.
• Experience with various writing programs, tools, and resources.
• Ability to teach writing across different content areas and grade levels.
• Support teachers by helping with the ”strategic how of teaching,” which will include the sharing of multiple instructional strategies/processes with teachers during planning times
• Informally observe (in non-evaluative observations) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher’s professional growth and students’ success
• Ability to design and deliver effective professional development sessions focused on writing instruction.
• Skills in facilitating workshops, training sessions, and collaborative planning meetings.
• Assist teachers in developing instructional practices to help them help their students become proficient learners
• Assist teachers in analyzing student assessment data and designing instructional decisions based on assessment data

Minimum Requirements for the Position :

• Must hold a valid RI Certification, must have shown proficiency in teaching the writing process. English cert preferred. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching, with a record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs
• Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues
• Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions
• Demonstrated Teacher Leadership
• Strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise
• Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communication
• Proven ability to work with technology applications and programs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with teachers, administrators, and other staff.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive and encouraging manner.

Successful candidates will be chosen based on qualifications through an interview process. If qualifications are considered equal, seniority will be considered.
