Role Summary:
Join our dynamic Tools and Solutions team within the Analytics Organization Hub as an Associate Informaticist. In this role, you'll be essential in developing automated, actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and innovation. If you have a strong background in SAS, SQL, and Tableau, particularly with healthcare data, this position offers extensive opportunities for growth and learning with new tools and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
SAS Expertise: 2+ years of experience in Base & Advanced SAS, with SAS certifications and extensive macro utilization preferred.
Data Management Skills: Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data extraction/transformation jobs, analytical reporting, and automated programming using reusable and SAS macro-driven components.
SQL Proficiency: 2+ years of experience in SQL, with a preference for experience with multiple Database Management Systems and a solid understanding of indexed and efficient table joins.
Tableau Development: 1+ years of experience in Tableau dashboard development.
Adaptability: Ability to switch between problem research/resolution and building sustainable processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Healthcare Data Experience: Familiarity with healthcare data.
Business Engagement: Ability to work directly with business users to understand their requirements, plan, and design independently.
Project Support: Experience in engaging and supporting projects in both payor and provider verticals.
Responsibilities:
Data Extraction and Calculation: Extract and calculate metrics from multiple data sources using SAS to prepare data for Tableau dashboards related to harm events, patient safety, adverse events, and more.
Data Maintenance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of data to support various projects.
User Engagement: Engage directly with business users to gather requirements, plan, design, and build solutions.
Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, documentation, build, deployment, and training analysts on new tools.
Innovation and Enhancement: Contribute to the innovation and enhancement of data delivery and presentation to improve operational efficiencies.
