This information will be used to provide project documentation for 106 compliance, Part III documentation of historic structure reports and guide future preservation planning efforts as required by Directors Order 28, Cultural Resource Stewardship.40%Inspect and research historic materials as needed to make recommendations to HACE Preservation Crews for proper treatment of historic fabric when unforeseen conditions arise.10%Conduct inspections of historic structures in parks to assess their physical condition and determine likely causes of deterioration to character defining features. Recommend appropriate treatments. Information to be used in the creation of Historic Facility Maintenance Plans20%Compile project documentation for creation of record of treatment (Part 3 HSR) reports and section 106 closeout documentation .30%Other:Overnight travel: Likely 1-5 trips of 1-2 days.Health and Safety Considerations: Guidance and training will be provided on-site to ensure that enrollee is fully aware of health and safety considerations (every site is different and will involve different safety precautions and equipment). PPE will be provided, where necessary while on-site inspecting historic buildingsRequired Safety Gear: PPE may include, but is not limited to hard hats, face masks, gloves, safety glasses, and other gear necessary to ensure that the enrollee is prepared to work in varied environmentsPhysical requirements: Ability to walk up to 0.5 mi on unimproved surfaces and walk and climb stairs and ladders through historic structures.
