Position Summary :
The Instructional Technology and LMS Specialist serves the academic mission of the university by assisting faculty in using technologies effectively to support student learning processes, skills, and projects. The position will provide faculty with the pedagogical knowledge and skill acquisition for using technologies both for online content and face to face classroom instruction. The position will serve as the primary Learning Management System (Moodle) and WordPress (student websites/portfolios) manager for both back-end and end-user support for instructional use. The Instructional Technology and LMS Specialist will provide faculty with: consultation; training; problem determination and resolution; and learning management and campus educational technology support.
The position will be the primary liaison with server hosting companies (contracts, problem solving, etc.) and our Informational Technology Services ( ITS ) and Academic Success Center units (enterprise software integrations with Banner, Civitas, etc.). The position will lead outreach in support of student-centered blended, flipped, and/or technology enhanced active learning ( TEAL ) classroom approaches. The Instructional Technology and LMS Specialist will manage CTL websites and the Online Journal System ( OJS ) that contains faculty and student digital publications. This position will develop strategies for the development and support of projects in instructional technology, appropriate use of Generative AI for learning, and applied digital literacies.
Minimum Education/Experience/Skill :
This position requires possession of a Master's degree. May consider applicants with a Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of equivalent experience.
