About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping people find the right mortgage solutions? We're looking for a dynamic Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll report to the Mortgage Sales Manager and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment—working remotely or from one of our office locations. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with clients and attend important office meetings.
What You'll Do:
- Build Relationships: Actively seek out and engage with clients to offer tailored residential mortgage solutions.
- Convert Leads: Turn inbound and outbound leads into successful applications.
- Customize Solutions: Identify clients' financial needs and recommend the best product and rate programs for them.
- Meet Goals: Achieve and exceed monthly sales performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing: Solicit, originate, negotiate, and secure residential mortgage loans.
- Client Counseling: Advise and support loan applicants throughout the process.
- Document Management: Collect and verify information and documents from applicants and other relevant parties.
- Fee Management: Handle interest rates, points, fees, and charges related to loans.
- Status Updates: Keep applicants and relevant parties informed about the status of their loan applications.
- Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to process and close loans efficiently.
- Customer Service: Address questions and resolve issues related to loan closings.
- Information Sharing: Provide details about our loan products, pricing, and services to real estate professionals and clients.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate reports and ensure thorough documentation of loan files.
- Additional Duties: Take on other tasks as needed to support the team.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: At least 3 years in loan management and negotiation in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with loan processing guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
- Skills: Strong understanding of standard loan practices, documents, and real estate terms.
- Market Insight: Solid knowledge of the mortgage market.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
- Location: Must be based in California.
Compensation:
- Salary: $52,000 - $200,000 per year, with commission pay (1099).
