POSITION:

The Department of Kinesiology and Public Health Promotion invites applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. Candidates selected will teach one or some combination of courses in the Department of Kinesiology and Public Health Promotion. These courses could include, but are not necessarily limited to: general education courses, core or elective courses in the degree of Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Public Health Promotion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Public Health, Physical Education or related field preferred. Masters' degrees acceptable. Prior successful teaching experience at the college level preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.

Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
