FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center in Doylestown is seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Yoga Instructor looking to supplement their current work with evening and weekend classes. We are a growing Physical Therapy practice in Doylestown Boro and would like to complement our PT services with an engaging Yoga practice in the evening hours. The right instructor will be flexible to accommodate the practice as it grows and will have the opportunity to customize classes and develop the sessions as they see fit.

Our Yoga Instructor will function as an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per-class basis. The practice is just beginning to advertise this new offering and we expect that classes will begin mid-Fall. Essential Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the studio 15-20 minutes before class start time to set up the space (move some PT equipment to ensure adequate mat space, set up props, music, lighting, etc.
  
• Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills
  
• Provide top-notch class instruction
  
• Follow-up with students after class
  
• Clean studio space after every class, move PT equipment back into place
  
• Build community and connection
  

 

Job Qualifications:

• Active Yoga Certification
  
• 2+ years teaching experience preferred (yoga or group fitness)
  
• Current CPR Certification
  
• Can regularly teach 2-4 classes/week in the evenings, ideally growing the practice to 1-2 classes/night, with classes on weekends if demand allows
  
• Outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide exceptional client service
  
• Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely to demo postures and transitions, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students), and facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering, and fun yoga and fitness classes
  
• Able to demonstrate exercises relevant to class style, as is frequently required
  
• Physically able to lift and carry 1-10 lb. equipment
  
• Adjust and operate equipment
  
• Strong verbal skills (proficient in speaking and understanding English
  

** Class rate is $60 per class which assumes the teacher arrives at the studio at least 15 minutes before class, teaches a 1-hour class, and stays 15 minutes after class to connect with students and clean the practice room

**Initially the goal is to schedule 2-3 classes/week with 4-6 students per class. As the practice grows and classes/students increase, the per-class pay rate will rise accordingly to encourage you to share in the practice’s success
