Job Description
PotomacWave is looking for a Research & Data Collection Nurse to join our team supporting a Federal client in Frederick, MD. This position manages day to day activities for assigned programs in data collection, develops and implements guidance for assigned programs, and works with government leaders to develop program objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing medical research projects and briefing senior leaders on programs.
Responsibilities :
- Support high and middle level field testing & evaluation (T&E) on concept and prototype casualty simulation data collection events and demonstrations.
- Generate and present all reports to leadership necessary to comply with protocols requirements.
- Work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research staff to ensure all regulatory documents and protocols for the research studies are up to date.
- Maintain a process to track each protocol through the submission and approval process.
- Attend required study meetings and remain current on procedures & protocols.
- Provide supervision to Data Collection Technician(s) and Medical Research Assistant(s).
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with local entities.
- Assessment, planning, and evaluation of simulations to provide data required.
- Perform data collection activities and administrative work in support of the research study.
- Conduct the medical concept demonstration scenarios at different locations.
- Provide training tools and information for medical research participants and other data collection staff as needed.
- Work with PI to schedule and conduct studies.
- Conduct a daily hotwash/after-action discussion with medics on the technologies evaluated.
- Prepare and deliver a Field Evaluation After Action Report.
- Document lessons learned, issues, evaluation results, and recommendations.
- Evaluate personnel performance in medical and field assessments.
- Provide on-site support and updates to leadership at field event/exercises.
Qualifications :
- Seven or more (7+) years of related experience in Nursing and managing medical research projects or protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Data collection knowledge and computer skills to capture the information
- Experience briefing senior leaders on projects
- Experience initiating research projects including programmatic, understanding, and interpreting protocols for establishing a satellite research location
- Data collection knowledge to set data collection sensors and computer skills to capture the information
- Must be able to travel to other sites for data collection and training exercises. Data collection may be conducted through the weekend.
- Adapt medical scenarios to local data collection environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to be proactive
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Tier 1 Public Trust clearance
