Job Description

Overview:
Join our dynamic Corporate Accounting team as a Staff Accountant, where you'll play a key role in managing balance sheet accounts and cash reconciliation processes. This temporary remote position offers the flexibility to work from home and provides the potential for a full-time role based on the company's evolving needs. You will be working Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Analyze general ledger accounts and perform thorough reconciliations.
Oversee financial records for subsidiaries, including evaluating balance sheets and ledger accounts.
Ensure foreign financial statements comply with US GAAP standards.
Validate transaction coding and account entries in the general ledger.
Reconcile both domestic and international bank accounts.
Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
Support variance analysis during the financial closing process.
Develop special reports and manage projects to provide valuable financial insights.
Establish and maintain global accounting policies.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Maintain a professional, positive attitude while contributing to our success.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
1 to 2 years of accounting experience, including general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and overall proficiency in MS Office.
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of US GAAP standards and experience aligning foreign financial statements.
Ability to perform bank reconciliations for both domestic and international accounts.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage special reports and handle financial projects.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to new tasks.
Ability to develop and uphold global accounting policies.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal teams.

Additional Considerations:
Experience in public accounting is a plus.
Practical accounting experience is advantageous.
Experience with international accounting, consolidation, and familiarity with IFRS is beneficial.
