Job Description
As the Supervisor of Behavioral Health Case Workers, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our care management services uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance. Reporting to the Manager of Integrated Care Management, you will oversee the daily operations of our dedicated team of Behavioral Health Case Workers, providing clinical direction, organizational leadership, and thorough monitoring of all care management activities.
This position is more than just a supervisory role; it's a leadership opportunity where your expertise and vision will have a direct impact on the quality of care our members receive. You will be at the forefront of ensuring your team meets all state requirements while also driving the delivery of exceptional case management services. Your ability to offer clear guidance and oversight will be essential in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our care management programs.
In this role, you will supervise a skilled, remote/field-based team of Case Workers. Your responsibilities will include monitoring productivity and documentation, mentoring staff, and ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and the strict standards required by state regulations. You will assist in executing strategic plans and daily operations, always with a focus on improving processes and outcomes.
Qualifications / Education:
A minimum of three (3) years of Behavioral Health clinical practice experience, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in South Carolina, as well as any other states where you operate.
OR
At least five (5) years of Behavioral Health clinical practice experience, a Master of Social Work (MSW), and LMSW licensure in South Carolina; LCSW/LISW licensure will also be considered.
A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Previous experience with state-required reporting and NCQA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) for data management, report preparation, and effective communication; experience with MS Access is a plus. Additionally, you should be comfortable using electronic medical record (EMR) and documentation programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are a plus, along with the ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
Experience working in community-based settings and/or home care.
Current or prior experience collaborating with the Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), the Department of Social Services (DSS), and/or the Department of Disability and Special Needs (DDSN) is desirable.
This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in South Carolina. The Supervisor may be required to engage with members and staff through face-to-face visits within the community or in-home as needed.
