Our team is committed to delivering inclusive and high-quality education to every student. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our team and support students with hearing impairments in their educational journey.

Responsibilities of the Virtual Sign Language Interpreter (SLI):

Facilitate communication between students using American Sign Language (ASL) and their peers, teachers, and school staff during virtual sessions.
Provide real-time interpretation for classroom lessons, discussions, and school activities to ensure effective communication for students with hearing impairments.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment for students with hearing impairments.
Requirements for the Virtual Sign Language Interpreter (SLI):

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with other communication modalities used by students with hearing impairments.
Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school-based setting or providing virtual interpreting services is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Reliable internet connection and audio/video equipment for remote work.
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
Registered with ODHH (Optional: specify relevant registration body if different).
